NTRLS.org is more than just a website! Use all our different online resources to see the latest about what's happening at NTRLS, in the North Texas region, and in the library profession in general. We want to make it easy for you to stay in touch with our staff, members, friends, and associates. If you need help using any of these resources, feel free to contact NTRLS for help.
Calendar - The NTLP Public Calendar shows meetings and workshops to help you keep up with our scheduled events. When an event on the calendar is underlined to make a link, click the link to get a flyer, map or other information.
NTRLS Blog - http://ntrls.blogspot.com/ - NTRLS staff use the blog to pass on news about what's happening at the System. We also post other items that we think might be of interest to the community of North Texas librarians. No login is required for viewing.
Notes of a Binge Thinker - http://bingethinkernotes.wordpress.com/ - NTLP's Executive Director, Adam Wright, uses this blog to post essays on various topics related to the library profession.
ntlp-announcements - An Email mailing list for announcements of general interest to the library community in North Texas. Anybody can subscribe, but only NTLP staff members can send messages. Subscribe here by submitting the online form, or contact NTLP for assistance.

Podcasts - http://librarianlive.libsyn.com - NTRLS produces the Librarian Live podcast series in conjunction with the Northeast Texas Library System, the Alamo Area Library System, and the Central Texas Library System, covering topics of interest to the library community. Listen to them online or download them to your MP3 player. You can subscribe to an RSS feed to be alerted to new episodes. The entire list of episodes is also available on the Podcasts page of our website.

Libraries for Literacy - http://libraries4literacy.org/ - Visit the Libraries for Literacy website to learn more about what NTLP is doing to help libraries in North Texas promote all forms of literacy.
Special Interest Groups and Regional Conferences - Each conference is associated with a special interest group which has its own website, links to related resources and listserv for email discussions. The SIGs and conferences are created through a partnership between NTLP and TLA District 7.

Library Foundation of North Texas - http://www.lfnt.org/ - LFNT is a nonprofit organization that provides supplementary funding for NTRLS so that public libraries in the North Texas area can present important programs that could not otherwise be provided. See the website for information on becoming a member.
North Texas Resource Guide - http://northtexasresourceguide.pbworks.com/ - This guide has contact information for federal and state agencies that librarians can use to help assist their patrons.
Conference Planning Wiki - http://ntrlsconferenceinfo.pbworks.com/ (by invitation only) - The committees planning each of our regional conferences use the wiki to collaborate. If you are interested in serving on a conference planning committee, please contact the NTRLS Conference Coordinator.
Fundraiser Wiki - http://libraryfundraising.pbwiki.com/- The Library Fundraising Wiki is a collection of fundraising ideas for public libraries. We made it a Wiki so that everyone could contribute their own ideas. Browse the Wiki to see what others have done, or sign up as a contributor and share the experiences from your library or Friends group. The first page has instructions for signing up as a contributor, and the login page has instructions for logging in. If you're not comfortable editing the Wiki yourself, feel free to email your information to NTRLS.
Adult Programming Wiki - http://adultprogrammingforlibraries.pbwiki.com/ - The Adult Programming Wiki is a collection of ideas for planning and facilitating programs for adults in public libraries. Membership Directory - default.asp?action=article&ID=218 - The NTRLS Membership Directory has contact information for the libraries in the North Texas region. For libraries in other regions, see the websites for TSLAC or the other Texas Library Systems, available through our Links section.
Executive Director's Column - default.asp?action=article&ID=291 - This monthly feature has news about what's happening in the System, upcoming events and plans, and commentary by the Executive Director. Current and past columns are available on this page.
